Mark Gornall

Mark was first introduced to martial arts at the age of 18 through a family friend. He started practicing American Kempo and kickboxing and following Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu sporadically. At the age of 21, he enrolled in his first BJJ school and fell in love with the practice and the culture. After he received his blue belt in 2013, he knew Jiu-Jitsu was where his true passion lied. He began competing in large scale competitions in 2016 and has since traveled and competed worldwide to test himself. He moved to San Diego in 2018 to focus solely on improving his BJJ skillset in the best gyms and with practitioners in the world. He has medaled in and won numerous tournaments across various organizations such as NAGA, IBJJF, and Dream Sub-Only. He has also participated in the ADCC trials in the -99KG division. His most notable accomplishment is placing 3rd at the IBJJF NOGI World Championships in 2018 in the super-heavyweight division. He currently holds the rank of Brown Belt under Dylan Dearborn of Infinity BJJ in San Diego who is a 2nd degree black belt under 6th degree black belt and 2 time Pan American and Masters Worlds Champion Rodrigo Medeiros.
