Joe Dressler

Joe Dressler has been a full time Strength and Conditioning Coach for 22+ years. He is accredited through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and has been certified through many organizations over the years including CrossFit, StrongFirst and USA Weight Lifting. Community is incredibly important to him and has witnessed first hand the bonds built over competing and completing difficult endeavors among his students.

Most Recently, In 2022, Coach Dressler took 3 teams to the Lake Tahoe Black Loop Ragnar to complete in a 24 hours, 30+ mile Trail Race. One team won 1st place Male/Female Division and 3rd overall, and Coach Dressler's team took 3rd in the Male Open Division and 6th place overall. He has coached baseball at the University of Missouri St. Louis and Cross Country at Friends of Baltimore High School.

Coach Dressler has a specific way of teaching which includes a four step process:

1. Learn the exercise

2. Perform the exercise with consistency no matter the intensity

3. Add and subtract intensity to find faults and correct

4. Be able to teach others.

In addition to this process, the goal is to be a virtuoso in the following moment patterns squat, hinge, press, pull, rotate and carry. Young or old, professional athlete or novice gym goer, all of these movement patterns can be progressed or regressed to find the sweet spot to induce growth.

A big part of why Joe has been able to stay in the industry for more than 2 decades is his interest in knowing the details and his thirst to continue to learn and evolve in the trade. Some of the experts Joe has listens to and reads include Peter Attia, Andrew Huberman, Kelly Starrett, Mark Verstegen, Aaron Horsching and Mark Tiptoe to name a few. Half the battle is being able to identify the experts in the field.

When I'm not lifting, running or competing, like to BBQ spare ribs and brisket, follow my St. Louis Cardinals baseball team (from STL), landscape my yard and hang out with friends.
